Every verdict published here is a clearly labeled opinion with its calculations shown. It isn't financial advice, nor is it a loan offer or quote.

The process for deciding what to say

• We start with the numbers. We apply the same formula to every stamp, as explained on the methodology page. A winner is never chosen by hand.
• Every default is backed by a source. Each number appears beside its source, and you're able to change it.
• We publish both answers. If the numbers favor buying, the stamp shows buy. This keeps the rent stamps honest.
• Forecasts: none. Our team doesn't predict future price or rate changes. With today's numbers in view, we show the outcome and what would flip the answer.

Corrections

If you find an incorrect fact or number, email contact@rentvsbuy.city. We compare it with the source and correct the page. Once the data is updated, we calculate every page again.

Independence and money

Lenders, landlords and agents never pay to change a verdict, and they can't. We mark every affiliate link where it appears and explain it on the disclosure page.
